April 07, 2026Time flies when you're having fun, and the second beta is coming to a close soon. While these patch notes are shorter, they are dense. We've implemented the first Premium statistics page (still free to access), done balance changes. And last but not least, set up a wiki for the game!


March 20, 2026As beta 2 heats up in-game, we've been getting to work adding new content and laying the foundation for premium by adding new features. Also, we continue with the human units balancing to further enhance each unit's identity.

March 07, 2026Just over a week into our first speed server, it's time for a round of patch notes. This first patch for Beta 2 details a bunch of changes to the game engine. Some early feedback also led to big improvements to mobile gameplay, and a host of new bugs to fix.


February 16, 2026After 4 months, the first beta server of Aether Kingdoms has finished. Over 400 accounts registered, leading to a final battle between the Empires EMP and River that lasted 2 weeks. Let's look at some numbers from the beta and the future of Aether Kingdoms.


January 24, 2026The 10th patch notes for the Aether Kingdoms beta. It's amazing to see how the game has developed with all your feedback and ideas! A new developer has joined the team, we added capstone researches, a map export and a lot of bug fixes and improvements.


December 23, 2025This time the patch notes are rather thin, as most work went into a single item: sitter functionality. Sitters were added to the beta server yesterday, allowing you to set anyone in your Empire as sitter. The sitter can look after your Kingdom, but with restrictions.


December 16, 2025Blink twice and two weeks are over, especially if you're busy running a beta. The delay in writing patch notes does not mean an absence of effort. The Natural Landmarks have spawned on beta and that meant plenty of patching to do.


November 28, 2025Sit down and join me for the Beta Patch 7. With the help of the community the events and conquest mechanics have been tweaked to limit snowballing for attackers. The changes are pretty big, so we'll have to see how they pan out.
